About the Role
Our dynamic and internationally recognised company Optimum Patient Care (OPC) supports the delivery of large-scale research and quality improvement programmes in the UK and Globally.
OPC is looking for a dynamic Engagement Lead ideally with experience in the healthcare sector. This role would suit those with the confidence to contact stakeholders and discuss the interesting research and QI opportunities OPC offers. A background in recruitment or sales and marketing would be an advantage.
The role is hybrid and will be based from our main office in Oakington, Cambridge.
What you will be doing:
Manage engagement with our OPC Network healthcare sites
Line manage the Patient Recruitment Coordinator, providing guidance, training and support
Develop and successful deliver stakeholder engagement plans
Lead in creating, writing and delivering communications and engagement plans for the project managers.
Monitor, measure, manage and report all OPC engagement activities and pipeline.
Provide input into weekly/monthly reports for project managers and Senior Management Team.
Contribute to implementing an appropriate communication and engagement strategy.
Recruit and coordinate GP sites throughout the research process, ensuring professional relationships and regular communication with all participating GP sites.
Create presentation slides and posters to help researchers recruit new GP practices.
To carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required.

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise providing a range of quality improvement services to over 1000 GP surgeries across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our services include clinical audit and quality improvement programmes, IG-compliant data extraction services, and research support services. They are provided at no cost to participating practices and freely available to all GP surgeries across the UK. Our anonymised research database – OPC Research Database (OPCRD), is one of the largest electronic health record databases in the world for research use, with over 18 million anonymised patients.
Contract and Salary
This is a full-time position with a salary of £27,000 p.a.
